HA NOI TO MAI CHAU (L – D)
8:00 AM: Meet the driver at your hotel in Ha Noi, and depart for Mai Chau. En route, make a stop at Thung Khe Pass to enjoy the beautiful landscape, relax, and take photos.

11:30 AM: Greet our guide in Mai Chau and check-in your homestay.

12:30 PM: Enjoy a traditional lunch at the homestay.

2:30 PM: Start a cycling tour around the Mai Chau valley to visit the rice fields and explore the local market.

4:30 PM: Return to your homestay to relax.

7:00 PM: Savor a delicious dinner, followed by free time to unwind.

10:00 PM: Rest for the night at a homestay on stilt house

Note: Stilt House is a kind of homestay which is a typical accommodation of the Thai ethnic minority. The Stilt House offers a large room with separate mattresses and curtains on three sides. Double-sized mattresses for couples are available upon request.
MAI CHAU TO PU LUONG (B- L – D)
7:00 AM: Have breakfast.

8:00 AM: The driver will transfer you to Pu Luong.

8:40 AM: Begin your trekking adventure from Hang village to Eo Ken village. Afterward, continue to the main road for transportation to your Pu Luong homestay.

10:30 AM: Check-in at your room and take a short rest.

11:30 AM: Enjoy lunch.

02:00 PM: Afternoon trek

Transfer to the Meeting Point and commence a 10km trek. Explore Kho Muong, an isolated village surrounded by a valley and the largest cave in Pu Luong, using off-road trails via streams and mountains.

Depart from the village and head to scenic Bang village to discover remote houses with beautiful terrace fields. Return to the hotel and relax by 05:00 PM.

Evening: Culinary exploration and leisure

Optional cooking class for those interested. Enjoy a delicious dinner at 7:00 PM, followed by free time to relax. This concludes your day in Pu Luong.
PU LUONG – NINH BINH (B - D)
Morning Exploration (7:00 AM - 9:00 AM)

  • Enjoy breakfast and complete check-out procedures

  • Prepare for the day's activities and be ready by 9:00 AM

  • Water Wheels and Transfer (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM)


Seek out the remarkable giant water wheels crafted by Vietnam's mountainous ethnic minorities. At 11:00 AM, depart for Ninh Binh; it's approximately a 3-hour journey with normal traffic. Optional lunch at a local restaurant along the way.

Afternoon in Ninh Binh (About 14:00)

  • Check in at your room at Tam Coc, and take some time for self-relaxation

  • Bicycles are available for leisurely rides around the villages


Evening Delights (7:00 PM)

  • Savor a delicious dinner at 7:00 PM

  • Enjoy the evening at your own pace, marking the end of the day in Ninh Binh.


Note: Bid farewell to the tour guide after the last activity in Pu Luong and head to Ninh Binh. Enjoy self-relaxation in Ninh Binh on this day.
NINH BINH - HANOI (B- L)
Morning Exploration (After Breakfast)

Transfer to Mua Cave and embark on a challenge of 500 walk-up steps. Reach the top of Mua Cave and enjoy an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from a high vantage point.

Historic Visit and Lunch (Around 13:00)

Head to the Hoa Lu Ancient Citadel and visit the Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple, dating back to the 17th Century. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant

Afternoon Boat Ride (Around 13:00 - 16:00)

Visit the Trang An Heritage Site by boat. Spend 3 hours enjoying the picturesque view of rice paddies and exploring 5 underwater caves, including a thrilling 1km-long cave.

Return to Hanoi (16:00 - 18:30)

The tour will conclude at your hotel around 18:30.

End of Tour: The tour officially ends upon your return to Hanoi.

If you're looking to go away from tourist destinations, this tour is for you. Pu Luong Excursion is a truly amazing travel service provider in the district. I contacted them just one evening before the desired date of day tour of pu luong region. Despite the super short notice, they managed to arrange two motorbike drivers to show us around on the next day. The quoted price is also very reasonable. Next day, the two super friendly local driver showed up on time (one lady and one gentleman) at the hotel. Though they dont speak english, but its total fine with the help of google translate. We enjoyed 4-5 various points of interest and the the scenic views around the area through the safe and exciting motorbike tour. It was indeed delightful to feel the rice field and summer breeze on the pace of rides. The lady driver was very attentive in giving me assistance when walking in cave snd waterfull. And the gentleman was a cheeful young man. Overall, we got memorable experience in this tailored day tour. We appreciate much for the efficient and professional service by Pu Luong Excursion!
